The president of the International Padel Federation, Luigi Carraro, on the occasion of the FIP General Assembly in Asunción, Paraguay, presented the first edition of the World Padel Report, created by the FIP Research & Data Analysis Department with the contribution of the affiliated federations.
The Report highlights the unstoppable growth of padel in the world: almost 30 million amateur padel players, with a notable female participation (40%).
Over half of these thirty million fans, play at least once a week.
59% of them are concentrated in Europe, led by Spain (16 thousand) and Italy (9,050), 23% in South America, 7% in Central and North America, as well as in Asia.
Almost 20,000 thousand clubs in 130 countries on 5 continents, 63 thousand playing fields. Compared to three years ago, growth was 240%, a real boom!
The precious document tells the story of the three FIP circuits (Premier Padel, CUPRA FIP Tour and FIP Promises).
The report represents the 71 FIP member federations – which rose to 81 on the occasion of the Asunción Assembly – with technical data sheets of the countries in terms of participation, organization and sporting results.
