Tomorrow morning the lights of the Oysho Milano Premier Padel P1 will turn on with the first round of the men’s draw, and opening the program on the Central Court at 9 a.m. will be Italians Marco Cassetta and Facundo Dominguez, facing each other after winning the silver medal together at the 2024 European Championships. Cassetta will play with Argentine Federico Chiostri, while Dominguez, born in Mar del Plata but with Italian roots, will be on court with Spaniard Javi Martinez. Right after that, in the top half of the draw, all eyes will be on Flavio Abbate, the young Sicilian talent recently called up to the National Team for the Final 8 of the FIP Euro Padel Cup, who together with Spaniard Manuel Castaño will face qualifiers Marc Sintes and Daniel Santigosa.
Also on court, another Italian pair: Lorenzo Di Giovanni and Simone Cremona, who will debut in a high-intensity match against Spaniards Fede Mouriño and Rama Valenzuela, the real surprise of last year’s edition, where they nearly reached the quarterfinals – playing with Pol Hernandez – after an exciting match against the Chingalan. From the qualifiers also comes Riccardo Sinicropi, playing against the pair Abud-Mendez on court 2 at Get Fit. Meanwhile, brothers Nuno and Miguel Deus will face Denis Perino and Nacho Piotto, while Aris Patiniotis will team up with Jesus Moya against Jose Jimenez and Maxi Sanchez Blasco. Also on court, “Alvarito” Montiel and Juan Belluati in another Italian derby against friend Enzo Jensen, who will play with Emilio Sanchez. Tomorrow will also feature the women’s draw, with the second round of qualifying matches, decisive for entry into the main draw starting Tuesday.
