Josemaria-Sanchez fly into the semifinals, against Brea-Gonzalez it will be a ‘partidazo’

The first semifinal of the Milano Premier Padel P1 women’s draw will be a stellar challenge. As Paula Josemaria and Ari Sanchez said, a ‘partidazo’. Yes, because the two previous winners of a Premier Padel title still in the running at the Allianz Cloud will face each other tomorrow: on one side the world number 1 and winners at Roland Garros, and on the other Delfina Brea and Bea Gonzalez, who won in Madrid. After the success in the morning of the number 3 on the draw, here was that – with a score of 6-3 6-3 in one hour and 34 minutes – of Josemaria/Sanchez over Tamara Icardo and Maria Virginia Riera (5).

After three breaks in the first three games, Josemaria and Sanchez closed out the first set, then cancelling a break point in the seventh game of the second set that could have changed the match. And so, after the danger had been averted, came the stretch, with two masterpieces – one by Ari and one by Paula – on the last two points of the match. “It was a match decided by the details – Josemaria said –. Thanks as always to the Milan fans for the support”. “We fought together even in a difficult moment”, continued Sanchez, ready for another chapter in the challenge against Brea/Gonzalez.
