Italy’s Lorena Vano, paired with Letizia Maria Manquillo Alarza, was beaten 6-2 6-2 by Spain’s Xenia Clasca Vidiella and Brazil’s Raquel Piltcher. The number 1 seed in the ‘quali’, Patri Martinez Fortun and Agueda Perez Ortiz, did well, thanks to 6-4 6-2 over Alicia Blanco Rojo and Monica Gomez Rivas. Also in the main draw were Julia Polo Bautista and Patricia Maria Ribeiro, 7-6 6-0 to Rebeca Lopez Lopez and Manuela Schuck Silva, and Marta Arellano Navarro and Raquel Segura Aguilar, who won the most balanced match of the day (1-6 6-1 6-4) against Carmen Castillon and Ana Varo Ramos.

On Tuesday, the first eight first-round matches of the 32-couple draw, with the first seeded players making their debut: while waiting for Sanchez/Josemaria and Triay/Ortega, who will debut on Wednesday, space will be given to Brea/Gonzalez and Araujo/Salazar.
