Milano Premier Padel P1, passion grows: over 32,000 fans at the Allianz Cloud for the third edition

On the court, the best padel players in the world. On the stands of the Allianz Cloud, a growing passion. The numbers of the third edition of the Milano Premier Padel P1 confirm it: 32,200 spectators came to follow the tournament, an increase of over 7% compared to 2023 – when there were just over 30,000 – and 20% compared to 2022, the year in which Premier Padel appeared in Milano for the first time. A general growth that is linked to that on the ‘day by day’: if in the first two editions the surge was in the decisive weekend, the public response in the Milano Premier Padel P1 2024 was positive already in the first days of the tournament.

FANS AND PLAYERS One of the key objectives was to attract who had never heard of the ‘pala’ and never approached a show like this. And one of the paths taken was to bring the players closer to the fans, to make them interact with their idols: with the help of the sponsors, there were more than 20 ‘meet and greets’ inside the commercial village, with the players thus being able to interact with the fans.

APP Meetings made even smarter thanks to the notifications of the Milano Premier Padel app, which through push notifications updated subscribers of all the events scheduled during the days of the tournament. The new MPP app, in addition to offering real time news and the livescore of the matches, was created and used to make people experience the Allianz Cloud even if they were not at the Allianz Cloud.

CHILDREN Never before has this year seen so many children, who represent the future of padel. On social media, videos of two young fans who, during the week, asked with classic posters to meet first Juan Lebron then Arturo Coello, immediately went viral. ‘El Lobo’ led him onto the court, giving him his jersey; Coello, on the other hand, met in the press room with a young fan who had nominated himself as his ‘next partner’. And on the social networks of Milano Premier Padel, videos can also be found of the ‘yellow wall’ made up of children with the XL ball and marker pen hunting for autographs behind the benches, after the end of the matches. Another sign of how passion is growing, even in the new generations.
