At the Allianz Cloud, the Oysho Milano Premier Padel P1 has begun, and the first results are clearly in Italian colors. On the opening day of the men’s qualifying draw, several Italian players achieved important wins — now just one match away from the main draw. Giulio Graziotti and Simone Iacovino celebrated their recent call-up to the national team for the FIP Euro Padel Cup in the best possible way, defeating the No.1 seeds Oria–Vilariño 6-4 7-5. Tomorrow, they will play for a spot in the main draw against the “Leyenda” Lamperti and Juani De Pascual. Another all-Italian victory came from Noa Bonnefoy and Michele Brambilla, both born in 2005 and playing their first-ever P1 event. They won 6-4 7-5 against Albin Olsson and Albert Trillas, and now dream big as they prepare to face the Spaniards Fuster–Solbes, who defeated the second seeds Rico–Sager. Riccardo Sinicropi, paired with Alfonso Sanchez, also advanced after beating Bueno–Arnaldos 6-4 6-3. Their next opponents will be Clement Geens and Alejandro Jerez. There was also success for ‘Denny’ Cattaneo and Santino Giuliani, who won the all-Italian derby against Bulgarelli–Saputo. Tomorrow will feature the second and final round of men’s qualifying, along with the start of the women’s draw at the Get Fit club (from 9 a.m.), where Italian players Carlotta Casali, Martina Parmigiani, Caterina Baldi, Giulia Sussarello, Emily Stellato, Chiara Pappacena, Lorena Vano, and Giorgia Marchetti will take the court.
