“We will always support those who work hard to organize events of this level, showing a great image of Italy, in such a beautiful venue like the Allianz Cloud.” In Milan for an inspection at the Fieramilano pavilions, which will host some events of the 2026 Olympic Games, the Minister for Sport and Youth Andrea Abodi didn’t want to miss the action at the Allianz Cloud, where the Oysho Milano Premier Padel P1 is taking place — a world tour tournament organized by the International Padel Federation, bringing together the best players in the world until Sunday. “Padel is a sport for everyone, very social, and it makes you feel younger,” explained Abodi inside the booth dedicated to the National Youth Card, which offers benefits to young people aged 18 to 35 and provides 500 free tickets for each session until tomorrow night. “This event shows excellence, with strong participation from young people and great appeal thanks to the growing facilities and the game’s special qualities. Tools like the National Youth Card are important for engagement: we sow together, we harvest together.”
The Minister then met with Carolina Orsi, one of the key players of the Italian women’s national team, who is competing in the main draw of the Milan tournament. Abodi, after asking about Orsi’s matches, invited her to act as an ambassador and bring his and the government’s best wishes to the boys and girls who will compete in Spain in two weeks for the Final Eight of the FIP Euro Padel Cup. “We stand with our men’s and women’s teams in blue,” said the Minister for Sport and Youth. “We are runners-up in Europe for both men and women, and the women’s team recently won the world bronze medal. Spain is definitely the favorite, but we’ll try to make things harder for them, thanks to our young talents who are growing fast.”
