While the Allianz Cloud lights during the week of the Oysho Milano Premier Padel P1, Lombardy has also confirmed itself in 2025 – for the third consecutive year – as the Italian region with the highest number of new courts built. As passion grows, so do the facilities in direct proportion. According to data from the FIP Research&Data Analysis Department, from January to date, a total of 33 new clubs and 111 new courts have been built in Lombardy, 83% of which are indoor, bringing the total to 456 facilities with a total of 1,450 courts. Given the temperatures, which will gradually become colder in the coming weeks – with the world padel champions all appreciating the tournament being brought forward to October – the need to play indoors is reflected in another statistic: almost four out of five courts (1,148 out of 1,450) are indoor.
Passion, desire to play, desire to learn: Milano is the third city behind Madrid and Barcelona in terms of interest on the web, measured through Google searches for keywords related to padel, with Lombardy being the sixth region/community in the world after Madrid, Catalonia, Andalusia, Buenos Aires and Valencia.
