Milan, September 30, 2025 – New calendar date, same unmissable emotions. For the fourth year in a row, Milan hosts padel: from October 6 to 12, the Allianz Cloud will again welcome the Oysho Milano Premier Padel P1, one of the pillars of the professional tour run by the Federación Internacional de Padel (FIP) with Qatar Sports Investments (QSI). The tournament, presented today at Sala Appiani of the Arena Civica Gianni Brera, will host the strongest women and men in the world, with 1000 FIP Ranking points for the winning pairs. The season will close in December with the awaited Finals in Barcelona, featuring the top 16 women and 16 men of the Race.
“Padel on fire” is the tournament slogan. Last year, more than 32,000 spectators filled the Allianz Cloud, creating an electrifying atmosphere for the world’s stars. The Milan P1 is the second Italian stop of the Qatar Airways Premier Padel 2025 after the Major of Rome. It comes during a busy season finale with events from the Premier Padel and CUPRA FIP Tour, plus national team competitions like the FIP Euro Padel Cup in Spain (where Italy defends its silver medal) and the brand-new FIP World Cup Pairs in Kuwait.
The numbers of padel in Italy are impressive: more than one and a half million players, with over 10,000 courts, a number that has grown 110% compared to 2021. And 27% of the national total of players, as underlined by the FIP Research & Data Analysis Department – the study center of the International Federation – play in Lombardy, where courts have grown by 157% since 2021. During the week of the Oysho Premier Padel P1, Milan will also host the presentation of the new edition of the World Padel Report by FIP, the detailed world census of a sport whose growth knows no limits.
THE PROTAGONISTS – Last year, in Milan, the winners were Arturo Coello and Agustin Tapia among the men, and Gemma Triay and Claudia Fernandez among the women. Coello and Tapia are also dominating this season and at the Allianz Cloud they will be the pair to beat in the men’s draw, but strong competition is right behind them: from Fede Chingotto and Ale Galan, finalists in 2024, to Juan Lebron and Franco Stupaczuk, and even Coki Nieto and Mike Yanguas. All pairs that have joined forces since the beginning of the season to try to stop the dominance of “Arturito” and the “Mozart of Catamarca” (Tapia’s famous nickname). In Milan, though, recently formed pairs will also play, like the one formed by Paquito Navarro – an idol in Italy – and Jon Sanz, who last year triumphed in the Premier Padel Finals with Nieto.
Among the women, Gemma Triay will try to lift again the Oysho Milano Premier Padel P1 trophy, this time with another partner: if in 2024 the Spanish world no. 1 of the FIP Ranking triumphed with Claudia Fernandez, this year she will play with the Argentine Delfi Brea, who, thanks also to three Majors already won (Doha, Rome and Paris), has risen to no. 2 in the world ranking. Behind them are the hunger for redemption of Paula Josemaria and Ari Sanchez, the quality of Bea Gonzalez and Claudia Fernandez, and the mix of youth and experience of Andrea Ustero and Sofia Araujo, in a tournament that, as often happens, can bring surprise names in the final stages.
THE INSTITUTIONS – The event is also made possible thanks to the Minister for Sport and Youth Andrea Abodi, through the support of the Department for Sport, and enjoys the patronage of the Lombardy Region and the City of Milan.
TV COVERAGE – Sky Sport will guarantee extraordinary media coverage, with a studio set up directly in the players’ area of the Allianz Cloud to tell the tournament with the voice of the protagonists. Live afternoon sessions from Tuesday to Thursday and full program coverage from Friday to Sunday, with the decisive stages also live on Supertennis and RedBull TV.
THE OFFICIAL APP – The updated version of the Milano Premier Padel P1 app, available on App Store and Google Play Store – and the first app ever launched for a single Premier Padel tournament – offers an interactive and engaging experience to live every moment of the tournament in real time. Designed to make access easy to all information and activities of the live event, the app offers many functions and promotions for padel fans, with an intuitive and user-friendly interface. Last year it already won the public, recording a high number of downloads and strong interaction during the whole event. Among the most appreciated functions is the event management system that allows registered users to book participation in exclusive events and reserved activities, guaranteeing priority access. With just a few clicks, each user can reserve their place and enjoy unique experiences linked to the tournament. And there’s a big new feature: through the official app of the Oysho Milano Premier Padel P1, ticket holders can now also book access to the stands of Court 1, up to a maximum of 50 people per match of the day.
THE STATEMENTS -Martina Riva, Councillor for Sport, Tourism and Youth Policies of the City of Milan: “I am really happy about the return of Premier Padel to Milan, and for the fact that the Palazzina Appiani of the Arena Civica was chosen for the tournament presentation, the Liberty-style building of our city. Premier Padel was the first event I worked on, managing to bring it to Milan thanks to the collaboration with FIP, FITP and NSA, with whom the City of Milan works closely. I can say that the Allianz Cloud was born thanks to Premier Padel: from that event we began to receive requests, and the images of the Milan P1 went around the world. Padel attracts young people and families: it brings music, lights, friendships. Thanks to the organizers and those who trust us. We are coming from a very important night for our city, with the City Council’s resolution for the sale of the San Siro stadium: in Milan and in Italy we cannot fail to start from infrastructures. See you at the Allianz Cloud, ready to write more records.”
Luigi Carraro, President of the Federación Internacional de Padel: “Milan welcomes padel with love, and for this I thank Undersecretary Picchi, because the support of the Lombardy Region is fundamental, as is that of the City of Milan. I must thank Councillor Martina Riva, and congratulate her for the extraordinary result achieved last night in the City Council (the resolution on the San Siro stadium). Something historic, which will allow Italy to keep up with the greatest countries in the world. In 2022, together with Nasser Al-Khelaifi, we had the idea to launch a new padel circuit: usually, one plans a few years in advance, but we decided to start immediately, and the person who from the very beginning believed and supported our project was Martina Riva. I remember she came to the Rome tournament and told us she wanted to create the same show in Milan. In our calendar, only the great cities can count on a P1 category tournament, and Milan will always be one of them. Until last year, we had three wonderful editions in December, but with this new calendar placement, fans from all over the world, as well as players, can live even more the extraordinariness of this city. We are coming from the presentation of the FIP Junior World Cup in Reus, Spain: if the previous edition had 350 athletes from 17 countries, this year there are 600 athletes from 35 countries. And major tournaments like Milan aim exactly to ignite passion in young boys and girls, to bring them closer to sport and help them become the champions of tomorrow. For these reasons, I believe padel has all the characteristics to become an Olympic sport. Our world circuits, moreover, are unique: there is no other high-level sport event in which men and women regularly compete in every stage of the tour.”
David Serrahima, General Manager of Premier Padel: “We are very happy to return to Milan and that the Premier Padel circuit is growing worldwide, exploring new markets. Premier Padel loves Milan, the players love Milan, which was also one of the first cities to express the desire to host a tournament. Important points for the FIP Ranking and the Race that leads to the Finals in Barcelona are at stake: my invitation to everyone is to come to the Allianz Cloud and not miss this extraordinary show of great padel.”

Federica Picchi, Undersecretary for Youth and Sport of the Lombardy Region: “The numbers of padel are exciting, not only at the national level but also in our region. Out of the one and a half million players in Italy, more than 400,000 are in Lombardy, half of them in Milan, and of all ages. We are the second region for number of courts and clubs, and growth is constant. My concern has always been sports facilities, but considering this growth, I must say that padel is one of the sports I won’t have to worry about. At the Allianz Cloud, all the strongest players in the world will be there, and for this I thank Premier Padel and the FIP, who will help ensure that the 2025 edition numbers in Milan will be amazing.”
Marco Gamberale, Ceo NSA Group: “The indicators that unequivocally mark the success of a major sporting event are mainly three: the audience response in terms of ticket sales; media interest and the popularity of the TV product; and of course, the interest of sponsors and their level. In the case of the Milan tournament, we can highlight how the audience has constantly grown, as well as the attention, level, and support of sponsors. The same goes for the TV product, which today has different channels and opportunities ranging from Sky to RedBull TV, Supertennis, and the Premier Padel streaming channels, which broadcast the tournament in dozens of countries around the world. Also regarding visibility in the media and on social networks, the trend is clearly upwards, with record numbers year after year. On the eve of the fourth edition, there is therefore optimism based on the solid foundations of the previous editions.”

For the fourth year in a row, the tournament takes a virtuous path in managing the waste produced during the event through tracking and reporting of the impacts associated with generated waste.
