Ale Alonso loses but qualifies for the Finals. Nothing to do for Tamara Icardo

The women’s Race leading to the Premier Padel Finals has officially concluded. The sixteenth queen is Ale Alonso. The lineup of the 16 players who will compete in the Finals in Barcelona from December 19 to 22 is now complete.

Ale Alonso’s loss in the semifinals of the Milano Premier Padel P1, where she partnered with Andrea Ustero against Delfi Brea and Bea Gonzalez (6-0 6-2), had no impact on her qualification. With 3.915 points in the Race, she secured the final spot for the Finals.

A spot that Tamara Icardo, ranked 17th with 3.810 points, will not be able to claim. Icardo was defeated in one hour and 13 minutes on the Allianz Cloud‘s central court by Gemma Triay and Claudia Fernandez (6-2 6-3). Playing alongside Claudia Jensen, Icardo’s performance was also affected by an adductor injury sustained during the Santiago Premier Padel P1, which kept her out of major tournaments this season, ultimately derailing her chase for the Finals.
