First came the embrace, then the exchange of superstar “mementos.” Padel and football shared another powerful moment of connection on the final day of the Milano Premier Padel P1. Paulo Dybala and Leandro Paredes arrived early in the afternoon to watch the final match between Arturo Coello and Agustin Tapia versus Ale Galan and Fede Chingotto. “We’re cheering for Agus; it’s the call of Argentina”, they said before the match, which was ultimately won by Coello and Tapia—both Argentinians, like the two Roma players
Agustin “Agus” Tapia was the first to thank his friends after the match. Before the awards ceremony, the Catamarca-born talent went up to the VIP stands to present his two special supporters with autographed rackets. The gesture was reciprocated shortly after, as Dybala and Paredes signed an Argentina jersey and a Roma jersey. These were then handed over to Tapia (who, naturally, received the Albiceleste one) and Coello, with the two footballers joining the celebration on the court.
