It started in the hotel hosting the Milan Premier Padel P1 players, with ‘colleagues’ showing up at the table where she was having breakfast with two slices of cake and a candle; Brea, the number 3 seed in the women’s draw at the Allianz Cloud, then made herself a present (with cake, this time a whole one, and the birthday’s song) also on the court, passing the first round paired with Bea Gonzalez, beating 6-1 6-2 Spain’s Beatriz Caldera Sanchez and Portugal’s Ana Catarina Nogueira, also with her family in the stands.
“Hello Milan, thank you all – Brea said –. I’m very happy to be here and to have won on such a special day”. She is only 24 years old, Delfina, but she is already firmly in the Top 10 of world padel: Bea and Brea, in this 2023 that marked the debut of the women’s draw in the Premier Padel circuit, have already won a tournament, in Madrid. And Milan Premier Padel is also decisive in this year, considering that the three stages played were won by three different ‘parejas’ (Triay/Ortega in Rome, Josemaria/Sanchez in Paris). In the round of 16 on Thursday, Brea and Gonzalez will face qualifiers Xenia Clasca Vidiella and Raquel Piltcher.
